Ευαισθητοποίηση για την Υδάτινη Κρίση

We wish to create a photo exhibition in the context of environmental information and awareness. The exhibition will be created with the assistance of the volunteers of the program who will take part and the collection of photos will result in the context of active learning. In more detail, to encourage the application of the above objectives in environmental education, we created an active learning approach using photographs. Volunteers are not mere recipients of information but will participate and act. The use of active learning techniques has many advantages such as creating more motivation to learn, increasing curiosity, facilitating information retention and fostering the development of critical thinking skills.

Λίγα λόγια για τον σύβουλό μας

Ο Νίκος Ηλιόπουλος είναι φωτογράφος με έδρα την Καλαμάτα και πολυετή ενασχόληση με τη φωτογραφική τέχνη. Μέσα από τον φακό του αναδεικνύει την ομορφιά του φυσικού τοπίου, της θάλασσας και της καθημερινής ζωής, δημιουργώντας εικόνες που συνδυάζουν αισθητική, συναίσθημα και αυθεντικότητα. Η δουλειά του χαρακτηρίζεται από δημιουργική ματιά, τεχνική αρτιότητα και την ικανότητα να αφηγείται ιστορίες μέσα από κάθε φωτογραφία.

Παράλληλα, είναι πρόεδρος της Φωτογραφικής Ομάδας Καλαμάτας (Φ.Ο.ΚΑΛ.), συμβάλλοντας ενεργά στην προώθηση της φωτογραφίας και της καλλιτεχνικής δημιουργίας στην τοπική κοινωνία. Μέσα από τη διοργάνωση δράσεων, εκπαιδευτικών εργαστηρίων και φωτογραφικών εκδηλώσεων, ενισχύει τη συνεργασία, την ανταλλαγή γνώσεων και την έκφραση νέων δημιουργών. Η συμμετοχή του στο έργο μας αποτελεί πολύτιμη συμβολή, καθώς μεταφέρει στους νέους όχι μόνο τις τεχνικές γνώσεις της φωτογραφίας, αλλά και τη σημασία της εικόνας ως μέσου έκφρασης, ευαισθητοποίησης και κοινωνικής αλλαγής.

We explained how photography, i.e. capturing a landscape on paper, can be a method of active learning. Participants learned how to use a camera or even their cell phone to create a visual image.

Photography has become an integral part of our culture because of its ability to capture and preserve memories, convey powerful messages, serve as a form of artistic expression, and record historical events. Through the lens of a camera, we can capture the beauty, complexity of the world and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Workshop - Part 1

Photography Lessons

The first workshop was held where we analyzed the concept of photography as an active learning tool. The use of active learning techniques has many advantages: it can create more motivation to learn, increase curiosity, facilitate information retention, improve class performance and foster the development of critical thinking skills. In collaboration with the Kalamata Photography Association (F.O.KAL.) we trained the participants in how to photograph the landscapes either with a camera or using a mobile phone.

Workshop - Part 2

Photography Lessons

The second part of the photography workshop took place, where participants had the opportunity to improve their skills and try something new. The trainers of the workshop, (with the help of the F.O.CAL Association) helped the participants of the program on how to use their mobile phone or camera to create visual images in order to raise their environmental awareness. We explained how photography, i.e. capturing a landscape on paper, can be a method of active learning. After familiarizing the volunteers with photography as a means of active learning, it is time to create the photo exhibition with the aim of environmental information and awareness

Photography Exhibition:

"The environment through our eyes"

All participants of the competition will have the opportunity to present their photographic material in the specially designed area of the Iliopoulos museum. All participants will submit their own photo to the contest through the team's website. Each photo must be followed by a verbal explanation of its content and related to nature. At the end of the exhibition, the winner of the competition will be announced and the prize will be awarded by the Mayor of the Municipality of Trifilia.

"Θέλω να ευχαριστήσω όλους όσους συνέβαλαν σε αυτό το επίτευγμα, από τους διοργανωτές μέχρι τους συμμετέχοντες. Η φωτογραφία για μένα είναι μια πηγή έμπνευσης και αυτή η έκθεση μου έδωσε την ευκαιρία να μοιραστώ τις ιδέες και την αισθητική μου με τον κόσμο. Ελπίζω ότι οι εικόνες μου μπόρεσαν να μεταδώσουν το μήνυμα και την έμπνευση που ήθελα να εκφράσω και να αφήσουν μια θετική εντύπωση στους θεατές. Είμαι ευγνώμων για αυτήν την ευκαιρία και ανυπομονώ να συνεχίσω το ταξίδι μου στον κόσμο της φωτογραφίας."
